For our St leonards project we were approached by a lovely couple to assist with multiple elements throughout their renovation. Working closely with their interior designer and builders we carefully designed and created 6 bespoke projects throughout the house.
The house was a beautiful old town house steeped with history and character and although we wanted the designs to be in keeping with this, we also wanted to add a modern twist with character.
If you have a bespoke carpentry project in Exeter or further afield that you would like us to design and quote for, please contact us. We limit the number of large, whole home projects we conduct each year to allow us to ensure we maintain our high standard of quality and workmanship. The earlier you can contact us, the sooner we can book your project into our schedule.
Cinema
This was the most contemporary piece we made. With beautiful reeded doors and vibrant orange cabinets this area was designed to be as cosy and family friendly as possible. Ensuring we could fit in a popcorn machine was also a must. This room is definitely a firm favourite with the kids

Playroom
This was an interesting brief. Mainly designed to be as functional as possible we also had to build 2 false wardrobe doors on the end to factor in an old existing door within the property. Due to the house being listed this old door couldn’t be removed and had to be worked around. We love a challenge and carefully designed this so that it was hidden yet still accessible

Lounge
These two bookcases had one requirement. To house a lot of books! knowing this we reduced the spans of the shelves and made them all adjustable to allow for complete freedom. The pink colour was a bold but brilliant choice

T.V room
Here we wanted to fit 2 units that looked like they had lived in the house for ages. With traditional beaded face frames and moulded shaker doors this was probably the most traditional piece in the house. The real showstopper here is the beautiful patinated metal lining in the log storage!

Walk in wardrobe
By far the most technically difficult piece across the whole project. With such a small space and so much to cram in, this took some real head scratching, especially because we needed to hide the underfloor heating manifold. Not only did we manage a design that ergonomically worked but the finish of solid walnut, veneer and solid brass really made this a classy walk in wardrobe to die for
Hallway
This was the standout piece of the whole project. At almost 7 meters long and 3 meters high, this unit makes a statement. It’s the first and last thing people see when they come in the house so it had to be special. We also designed this in such a way that a rolling ladder can be retro fit at any point.
